Another accused who fired at Salman Khan's house arrested, 'the aim was to scare the actor'
Another person involved in the shooting outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's house has been arrested.
According to NDTV, police sources said that the arrest took place from Haryana on Wednesday night and that the man had made contact between the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and the shooters.
After which 24-year-old Vicky Gupta and 21-year-old Kumar Palak opened fire and are now in police custody.
On Sunday morning, two motorcyclists fired five shots in front of the actor's house in Mumbai's Bandar area around 4 am and fled.
Citing sources in Bandra area, it has been said that arms were supplied to Sagar Kumar Palak on April 13, a few days before the attack, but the identity of the person who gave them the arms has not yet been identified.
Police said the arrested hailed from Champaran in Bihar and were arrested late on Monday night from a temple in Gujarat's Kutch district.
Police sources also say that the shooters were allegedly offered Rs 4 lakh, of which Rs 1 lakh was paid in advance.
The Mumbai Crime Branch says that the firing was not intended to kill the actor but only to scare him.
An official of the crime branch told ANI that the accused ransacked Salman Khan's farmhouse in Panwal, they only wanted to scare him. Other family members of both are also being questioned.
The Mumbai Crime Branch will also record the statement of Salman Khan as a witness.
On Wednesday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde met Salman Khan and assured him of security and assistance.
He said that I told Salman Khan that the government is with you, both the attackers have been arrested. They are being interrogated and will get to the bottom of the matter.
